Custom Search
Coleman propane heater systems are great to have whether you are going on camping trip or just hanging out on your back deck. A Coleman propane heater makes it possible to spend time outside on even the coldest of days, providing a safe source of heat it any outdoor space. While a Coleman propane heater cannot be used indoors, it can be used all year round in the out of doors. This means you can have barbecues in your backyard in the winter, and still enjoy time outside your tent or RV during inclement weather. Why Propane? Propane heaters do not require electricity and can often run on very little propane, so are an affordable choice for heating an outdoor area. While larger, permanent propane heaters require a building permit, portable propane heaters can be purchased by anybody for any type of use. Because propane heaters used pressurized gas, they should only be used in outdoor spaces or well ventilated areas, like workshops or garages. But really, they are most ideal for camping trips or backyard parties during colder weather. Radiant Heat Perhaps the perfect type of Coleman propane heater for a camping trip, a radiant heater is portable and doesn't require any power source. Most radiant heaters can also have thermostats installed, which makes it easy to monitor the temperature and adjust the heat levels to your personal preference. Radiant heaters are efficient, quite and simple to use. They are also extremely portable. Many models are made with folding handles and some even have wheels to make them easy to move around your tent or campground. Forced Air Heat If you are looking for a portable Coleman propane heater, you will not want to look into forced air heaters. Forced air heaters require electricity for internal motors that help distribute heat. Propane heaters that require electricity need to be permanently installed and require a building permit. One benefit of forced air models, is that they come with a lot of safety features. There are switches that control energy output and voltage along with ignition controls. You won't find as many safety features in a portable Coleman propane heater. Convection Heat Most people think of ovens when they think of convection heat, but you can also get a convection type of Coleman propane heater. A convection heater starts out at a very high temperature, and then adjusts and lowers the temperature until it is more comfortable. Convection heaters are less cost efficient than other types of heaters because they waste a lot of fuel when they are starting up since they initially run at a high temperature.
