Jayco RV call themselves “America's Most Livable RVs.” Jayco, Inc. has been around for over 40 years, based in Indiana and selling their line of Jayco RVs at almost 300 dealers across the country.

Built to give the owner a real sense of home while they are on the road, a Jayco RV has solid wood cabinets, patio awnings, an entertainment center and cable TV hookup, a convection microwave and more.

Types of RVs

There are several types of recreational vehicles in the Jayco RV line. They sell motorhomes along with towable trailers, like their park and travel trailers, lightweight travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers and camping trailers.

Jayco also have Toy Haulers which are motorhomes or towable trailers that have garages in the back with ramp doors, so motorcycles or ATVs can be brought on any trip.

Can I Customize a Jayco RV?

While Jayco RV makes a wide range of recreational vehicles, Jayco does not make any customized RVs. This is to keep cost down and help manufacturing go more quickly.

Unfortunately, this means that Jayco does not make any RV that is wheelchair accessible, as that would be considered customized.

There are companies like Winnebago and Sunline Coach Company who do manufacture ability equipped RVs.

It is also possible to find other companies that will make these or other customizations to an existing Jayco RV, but that can be very costly.

Roadside Assistance

If you purchase a new Jayco RV, you also get a year of roadside assistance, which includes free tire change and lock out service, among other things. This is a good way to keep peace of mind while you're on a long road trip.

Tips for RVing

There are some simple ways to make your road trip or camping experience a little easier. First, make sure you bring lots of quarters to pay for everything from parking to laundry.

And check ahead for RV restrictions at any campgrounds you hope to stay at, and if you're bringing a generator, make sure it is campground approved.

Conserve power and water as much as possible, using compostable paper plates and turning off water when you are brushing your teeth or washing your hair.

And whether you are in a Winnebago or a Jayco RV, stay cool and save power by simply parking in the shade!
