PPL motor homes are sold by consignment. Although they are used recreational vehicles, PPL makes sure their product is of good quality and that you are getting it at a good price.
What is Consignment?
Consignment is a no-risk way to sell something through another party. When you sell something on consignment, you are giving your possession - in the case of PPL, motor homes - to a store or retailer to sell for you, but you are still the owner until it is actually sold.
The consignee, or retailer, does not pay any money to the consignor, who is the owner of whatever is being sold, until the item has actually sold.
The consignee then takes a percentage of the sale as payment for their services. Consignment sales are generally sales of used merchandise and is common practice at thrift stores.
What Percent Does PPL Take?
PPL takes ten percent of the income from the sale of a consignment recreational vehicle. They also have a minimum amount that a motor home or trailer can be sold for.
Motor homes must be sold for at least $1475. The minimum sales cost for travel trailers and fifth wheels is $975.

Trade-Ins
If you are looking to get rid of your old recreational vehicle with the intent of replacing it, you could also do a trade with PPL.
Motor homes are given a fair trade price, and that price will go towards purchasing another recreational vehicle from the lot.
