Types of RV Flagpoles
You can get RV flagpoles that are made of either fiberglass which is flexible or of light aluminum; either way they are usually telescopic which makes them easier to store, transport and set up.
You need to check that your RV flagpole’s sections lock in place; some don’t and these can be a problem in high winds.
The size of RV flagpoles you should be looking at depends on what you want to hang from it; the tallest RV flagpoles are approximately twenty feet high and these are capable of supporting flags as large as three feet in height by five feet in width.
Getting it Up!
RV flagpoles can be mounted either with trailer hitches or on wheel stands. As you might expect, trailer hitch mounts allow you to hitch your flagpole on your RV, secured by a pin.
You should build your RV flagpole in sections upwards from the trailer hitch mount if you can, although this might not be possible for taller RV flagpoles.
However wheel stands are actually the most popular mount for RV flagpoles. They are very easy to set up, with a steel foot which is secured under the vehicles tires. Then the RV flagpoles can just be inserted and locked in place.
RV flagpoles are not the only thing that can be flown on either of these mounts; you could fly windsocks or banners, among other things, so as well as decorative, RV flagpoles have a whole host of purposes for business, personal or recreational purposes.
